These terms are the agreement between you and Profectify LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the company that operates MoveMyFiles at movemyfiles.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Acceptable Use Policy also apply when you use the Service.
1. Who we are

2. Who can use MoveMyFiles
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization (for example, on a Teams plan), you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. What the Service does
MoveMyFiles lets you send files to other people, either by email or with a link you share yourself. Each transfer is available until it expires, and its files are then deleted automatically.
What you can send depends on your plan. Transfer size, number of files, number of recipients, how long transfers stay available, how many transfers you can send each month, and features such as passwords and download limits are listed on our pricing page.
We keep improving the Service, so features may change over time.
MoveMyFiles is for moving files, not for storing them long term. Always keep your own copy of anything you send.
4. Your account
- Keep your sign-in details confidential. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Use an email address you can access. We use it to send verification codes, transfer notifications and account messages.
- If you send without an account, you'll confirm your email address with a code before your transfer is delivered.
- On a Teams plan, the person who sets up the team manages its members and billing. Each member must also follow these terms.
5. Using the Service responsibly
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with applicable laws and regulations. You must not:
- upload, share or store files that are illegal, harmful or infringe the rights of others, including copyrighted material you don't have permission to share, malicious code, or personal data you have no lawful basis to share;
- use the Service to distribute malware, spam or other harmful content;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- use the Service for any activity that breaks applicable laws or regulations.
Our Acceptable Use Policy explains these rules in more detail, and how to report a transfer that breaks them.
6. Your files
- You own your files. Uploading them to MoveMyFiles doesn't change that.
- You give us permission to handle them. By uploading files, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process and transmit your files, solely to provide the Service.
- You have the right to share them. You confirm that you have all the rights you need to upload and share every file you send.
- You decide who gets them. Anyone who has a transfer's link can download it, unless you've protected it with a password or it has reached its download limit or expiry date. Treat download links like keys.
- We don't routinely look at your files. We may access, restrict or remove a transfer when we need to act on a report of abuse, comply with the law or a valid legal request, or protect the Service and the people who use it.
7. Plans, payments and cancellation
- Free plan. The Free plan costs nothing.
- Paid plans. Ultimate and Teams are subscriptions, billed in euros in advance, monthly or annually. Teams is billed per seat. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account. Your paid features continue until the end of the period you've already paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan.
- Refunds.
- Right of withdrawal.
- Taxes.
- Price changes.
8. Privacy
Profectify LLC is the controller of the personal data processed through the Service, as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and content (but not the files you upload), is owned by Profectify LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
10. No warranties
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted access. We work hard to keep MoveMyFiles fast and available, but we don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Profectify LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for using the Service.
12. Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these terms or engage in prohibited activities.
- You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@movemyfiles.com.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post them on this page, and we'll update the date at the top. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms. Please check this page now and then.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without prejudice to your rights under the GDPR or other mandatory local laws. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the competent courts of Delaware, unless EU consumer protection laws require otherwise.
15. General
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of them remain in effect.
- These terms, together with the policies linked above, are the entire agreement between you and Profectify LLC about the Service.
- If we don't enforce a right or provision, that doesn't mean we've waived it.
