MoveMyFiles is for sending files to people who want them. This policy explains what isn't allowed. It applies to everyone who uses the Service, and it's part of our Terms of Service.
What's not allowed
Illegal content
Don't upload, send or store anything that's illegal. This includes:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We have zero tolerance for it.
- Content that promotes or incites terrorism or violent extremism.
- Intimate images of someone shared without their consent.
- Threats, harassment or content that incites violence against people.
- Any other content that's illegal where you are or where your recipients are.
Malware, phishing and spam
Don't use MoveMyFiles to:
- send viruses, ransomware, spyware or any other malicious code;
- run phishing campaigns or impersonate other people or organizations;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages.
Content that infringes other people's rights
Don't send content you don't have the right to share, such as:
- copyrighted material, like films, music, software or books, without the rights holder's permission;
- material that infringes trademarks or other intellectual property;
- personal data about other people that you have no lawful basis to share.
Abusing the Service
Don't:
- try to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its systems or other people's transfers or accounts;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- get around plan limits, rate limits or email verification, for example with automated sign-ups;
- use the Service for any activity that breaks applicable laws or regulations.
How to report a transfer
Every download page has a Report this transfer link. It's the quickest way to reach us, because it tells us exactly which transfer you mean.
You can also email support@movemyfiles.com. Please include:
- the link to the transfer;
- what's wrong with it, and why;
- your email address, if you'd like us to be able to follow up.
If you come across child sexual abuse material, please don't download it or share it, even to report it. Report it to us and to your national hotline (find yours at inhope.org) or to the police.
What we do about it
When we receive a report, we review it. Depending on what we find, we may:
- disable access to the transfer straight away while we look into it;
- delete the transfer and its files;
- suspend or close the sender's account;
- prevent the sender from using the Service again;
- report the matter to the relevant authorities and preserve information where the law requires it.
Where we remove a transfer or restrict an account, we'll tell the sender why, unless the law or a risk to someone's safety prevents us. We can't always tell the person who reported a transfer what action we took.
If you think we got it wrong
If we've removed your transfer or restricted your account and you think we made a mistake, email support@movemyfiles.com with the transfer link or your account email and tell us why. We'll take another look.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top.
